Summah is a passionate creative with a love for all things arty. She started off with her own small business designing personalised products, illustrating pet and family portraits, painting wall murals, custom trainers and even faces! Before training as a tattoo artist. Read our interview with her below!
How did you get started in art?
From a young age I was glued to “learn how to draw” books and spent hours copying DVD covers. That love for art led me to launch my own small business creating personalised products, everything from pet and family portraits to wall murals, custom trainers and even face painting.
What do you enjoy about tattooing?
I have always loved art and remember even from a little girl spending hours with the ‘learn how to draw’ books and copying DVD covers. I enjoy all things design from the interiors of the home to the composition of a Tattoo. It brings me so much joy each day being a Tattoo Artist, inspiring self expression of others through the beauty of tattoos. The whole process is very important to me from the first message, to producing the final product. I myself fell in love with tattoos young and as soon as I could I jumped in the tattoo chair.
What are your favourite tattoo styles?
My favourite styles to tattoo are black and grey realism, fineline and micro-realism styles. I loves nature & animals, florals, ornamental patterns, Greek gods, dark realism and portraits. Its all about the excitement of being versatile, trying new styles and challenges!
What else have you done alongside tattooing?
Previously I had small business ran along side my career as a dance/sports coach and mentor. I have a passion for learning and educating and helping share knowledge and developing skills. I think mental and physical health is really important and searching for joy in all that you do. That’s why I am so grateful that my job is my biggest passion!
